>>>
A Buck Mystery <<<
This Precision Oiler Pen was
found inside the box of
a
1982 Mini-Crock Stick, #140. The original owner
remembers it being inside the box
upon purchase.
There was no extra labeling to indicate it being
included
inside the box.
At
this moment, it is unknown if it's an actual Buck
product.
Could this be a sample mock-up from the
original
manufacturer showing what they could
offer
Buck Knives? How did it end up in the
Mini-Crock Stick box?
After
an exhaustive search of the internet, I cannot
find
another one or any further information on it.
Most
of the Buck organization members I've
shown
it to, do not
recognize it either.
Have
you seen another of this specific item, be it
marked
Buck or another brand?
Could it have been part of a promotion with
the new Buck Gun Oil?
If
you have any further information, please drop
me an
email, the address can be found at the
bottom of this page.

Schrodinger's
110 1987
If
you know the thought experiment of 'Schrodinger's Cat', this is the
same paradox. This packaging began
to
show up on store racks in early 1987. I had purchased one that
the packaging was badly damaged on.
Upon
removing the knife, I found it to have the date
code stamp for 1986 (86V2). So, with leaving this
knife
in the package for now, we
do not know if this 110 is a 1986 or another year.
